"Achieving confidence with Carillion for future projects."

Park site, the toilet pods for the M.P.C. have successfully been built and delivered. The M.P.C. is the ‘Main Press Center’ and will provide office space over 5 levels for the worlds press during the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in London. The MPC and the adjacent International Broadcast Center (IBC) will be used by around 20,000 broadcasters, photographers and journalists from around the world. Being involved in the Olympic legacy, albeit in a small way, has been an exciting prospect for Kondor and acquiring approval from the Olympic Delivery Authority is an achievement we should all be proud of. artist impression MPCThis is also the first project we have embarked upon with Carillion Plc who have been extremely pleased with Kondors performance, now that we are part of their approved supply chain hopefully there will be other projects in the future working with one of the UK’s leading construction companies.

To Kondor it means a run of 150 pods of various types covering standard toilet pods, ambulant toilet pods, wheelchair accessible pods and a small number of cleaners store cupboards. This was our opportunity to show Carillion just what we can achieve and to build their confidence in our company for future projects.

  • St. James has proved to be a particularly good client for Kondor, having completed 2 phase for the Grosvenor Waterside project in Chelsea. Despite the state of the economy the developer for the Grosvenor Waterside project ‘St James’ (part of the Berkeley Group) continued progress of the project albeit the last phase did move back by 3 or 4 months. They were immensely happy with our quality and performance, despite the pods being quite complex in design demanding a consistently very high level of finish its fair to say we achieved this with flying colours having completed a total of 350 high specification bathrooms and shower rooms.

Cooperation between Kondor and St. James was extremely good and as a result we really look forward to working with them again. It is important that we uphold a good working relationship with St. James and all our clients to put us in a favorable position for future projects that may already be secured or are currently in planning.
